Whoever believed being experienced by sound could be woken up in the just renovated ballroom of Trillke-Gut. It's the exceptional combination of E-bass and Didgeridoo of duo "Boobinga" that evokes curiosity above all. The promise wasn't to be disappointed. (...) Miethe showed up how varied and expressionable (... the Didgeridoo...) is able to be played on in ever new dimensions of sound. The warmly purring and threatening grudge is already known. Miethe pushes the creation of sound further ahead. Excited grumbling straight through the overtone scale by pushed pulsing and wild rhythm to clearly exposed themes. Even spectacular dialogues arise between the filigree Bass pickings and the cheerful "Didge". Both of the musicians challenge each other by searching for new sound patterns. And they'll find what they are looking for. Metz is playing the fretless bass in "Intrinsic". Swelling chords and pulsing waves lead gently into fascinating soundscapes. Exotic beauty of sound. With their insider hit "Rasta Rag" it's getting more on this side. Miethe is inspired to create joyful inserts by "Rap" Didgeridoo and the audience is to dance by challenging the Reggae rhythms. Such a concert didn't exist before in Hildesheim. One is in good company with "Boobinga" if he is openminded to fresh sound spectrums and enthusiastic joy of playing. Don't forget to draw breath in between.
